Independent Social Work

Are you an Independent Social Worker? If so, we’d love to hear from you because we’re expanding our team of associates!

Simply Social Work is quite unique and as one of the directors, I’m proud of all we have achieved for families over the years. We’re unique in two very distinct ways; we provide an all-age Social Work service across England and Wales AND we champion Independent Social Workers who have the same drive and determination that we have.

Independent Social Workers are, in it’s broadest sense, practicing Social Workers who don’t work for a local authority or other public sector employee. The play a very important role in court and tribunal hearings and they can provide and alternate view to that of the local authority, helping judges and panel members reach well informed decisions. Independent Social Workers can also undertake work that may not fall within the remit of local authority Social Work such as COP3 mental capacity assessments.

Over the coming months, you’ll hear more from us about our plans to support Independent Social Work, but for now, we’re keen to hear from anyone who has at least 5 years experience as a Social Worker, practices as an ISW and has experience of working with children and young people up to the age of 25 who have an Education, Health and Care Plan.  Tribunal or court experience would also be beneficial.

If that’s you, and you’d like to get in touch, please email Julie, our fabulous Business Support Officer who will tell you more. Julie’s email address is hello@simplysocialwork.co.uk.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.
