Gary first became an Independent Social Worker in 2012, it was, in part, because he had been asked by an independent school for children and young people living with ASD to provide training to their staff. They wanted training from a frontline practitioner who also held a training qualification. Ten years later, that’s what makes our training as engaging as it was in 2012.
We provide training to health and social care staff. We do not currently run open courses (courses where individuals can book a single place), we do however provide bespoke group courses that are written for people’s specific needs.
We currently provide training to local authorities, NHS Trusts and Clinical Commissioning Groups, SEN Schools, care and nursing homes, homecare providers and charities.

We understand that training can be expensive, particularly if you are training a large group of staff. That is why we have developed a mental capacity and DoLS Train the Trainer course. It is a two day course that equips your staff to provide in-house mental capacity and DoLS training. We can provide our training as a virtual course over Microsoft Teams or face to face.
We are in the process of registering the above training with a CPD certification service. Once registered, all of our training will be CPD certified. If you would like to commission us to provide your training, please email hello@simplysocialwork.co.uk.
