Best Interests Assessor Update Training... Did You Know?

Created: 7 October 2017

We've just released our first dates for our new BIA Update Training for newly qualified Best Interests Assessors and those that haven't undertaken assessments recently. Take a look at the calendar and book yourself in today because there's a lot of interest.

Feedback from our other BIA Update Training has identified that whilst update training isn't mandatory for newly qualified assessors, many felt an additional session following their qualification training provided a safe environment where they could ask questions about the practical aspects of being a Best Interests Assessor. Somewhere where no questions are too 'silly' and where new assessors can Network with others just starting out.  It's also a useful course if you require a additional help to write your assessments because we spend time identifying what to write in your assessments and how to gather good quality, factual information to use.

This course still counts as legal update training that all assessors have to complete and is 6 hours of CPD. It covers everything you would expect such as case law updates and has an extended sesssion focusing on the mental capacity assessment. Of course, if you're not newly qualified but just want to update your knowledge and skills then come along too. As an added extra, booking onto this BIA Update Training gives you the option of email support through an assessment you complete after the training.... ideal for independent Best Interests Assessors.

Initially the courses will all be in London but easily accessible using public transport. We look forward to seeing you at the next one.
